Re: Losing focus after confirmation

12.3.3: Another window came to front again when I d'n'd files from FTP to local drive in dual mode and progress dialog appeared. Not reproducable and not always.

Re: Running several scripts

My initial post refers using SelectEx and the playlist scripts (which kundal postet above). This combination doesn't work.

Re: Dark grey-blue

I wonder why DOpus doesn't have any option to backup the whole system in one pack, together with the dependent files/libs and color/theme settings. Most used tools (like from NirSoft) are almost portable, just put them into "user data"-folder and use built-in-alias pointing to it. Of cour...

Re: Running several scripts

That's why I asked, because it doesn't work that way. Only first script will be executed, but all following ignored.

Running several scripts

I have different scripts creating playlists (genre). On changes of my library I'd like to run them all in one button for fast update. How can I execute them (there're user-commands)? Also they should run one after each other, because once all musicfiles were read on first script, the next script run...

Fix for broken Excel-preview in DO

I had some machines that did not show Excel-files in DO-preview-pane. It's a know Office-Bug (I think only 2016), so I share an easy fix for that here. Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\PreviewHandlers] "{00020827-0000-0000-C000-0...

Re: Real Media plugin

Try "K-Lite Basic", not overloaded, stable (using over years in uncountable PC's) and supports nearly all formats.

Re: Automatically generate coverart.jpg

The only thing is: If the source is already named "coverart.jpg", it will be deleted (once I downloaded one cover that really had that name and had to redownload :-)).

Re: Copying bigger files to FAT32

Yeah, overloaded control. If your car doesn't drive these days, it's mostly not the engine. :-)

I'm sorry, as the people getting more and more lazy they CAN and MUST learn the basics. Anything else will end up in "Idiocracy" ;-).

Re: DO unresponsive while HD waking up from sleep, forces user to click abort before proceeding

As long we don't know WHICH drive we're talking about no programm is needed (on normal internal HDD just turn off sleep mode in energy-options!). BTW the unresponsible time while wake-up was meant, not DO setting drives to sleep.

Re: Copying bigger files to FAT32

Sorry, saw that too late (answer to Leo).

For less data loss with NTFS just deactivate cache (default since Win 8). I never unmount external drives, but wait 1-2 seconds after finishing :-).

Re: Copying bigger files to FAT32

We are talking about ~4GB limit filesize, not about max. partition size. So if you see xx GB's space left and 5 GB does not fit, then it's FAT32.

Re: DO unresponsive while HD waking up from sleep, forces user to click abort before proceeding

If it's not a notebook (accu) or an external drive activating sleep-mode by its own controller, its best to always leave HDD powered on like peterb said. I have some external drives and NAS going to sleep and on access DO of course waits for them to wake up (it's the same with network, NAS, CD-Rom, ...

Re: Copying bigger files to FAT32

Solution: Default statusbar should show filesystem next to space left, then on error you look at free space, see filesys and...voila, reason found! And if somebody doesn't know about the limit of FAT32... easy to google. Nobody needs the knowledge to repair an engine, but if you don't know how to to...

Re: Automatically generate coverart.jpg

You can also resize the pic. For generating coverarts from downloaded covers I use this one for example and directly delete source:

Code: Select all

Re: Still no text-editor viewer plugin in Opus 12?

@tbone: That's it! If people tell me to use Notepad etc. for simple things I just can say: You can use JPEGViewer or similar, too, no better viewer needed. We're talking about basic management, not an editor supporting programming-languages, dictionaries and all that stuff (like no one expect DO's v...

Reverted back to 12.3, because nearly every confirmation pushes other windows to front and that's really annoying.

Re: Still no text-editor viewer plugin in Opus 12?

Where's the problem? You can easily integrate e.g. Notepad++ with DO-USB using aliases.

If you don't know it better, just keep quiet. I'll ignore your posts from now on, discussing with you is too stressful.
