Re: Rename: How to remove xx characters from filenames in an easy way?

Oh, & yes, it's a good idea to have a function like this built into Dopus. Overread that aspect, sorry.

Re: Rename: How to remove xx characters from filenames in an easy way?

Some colleague from this forum once provided me these two codes, which might be helpful: Rename TO="{DlgStringS|AN welcher Stelle soll von hinten etwas eingefügt werden ?\n\ndurch ein Komma getrennt\n\nWAS soll eingefügt werden ?|2,Neuer Text}" AUTORENAME @nodeselect @script vbscript optio...

Yes, that worked. I'm surprised, buttons can be dragged into folders. Thanks!

Making links of collections in ordinary folders

It's not possible at the moment, but it would be good, if we could embed collections into normal folders, or at least could make links to them. What do you think about this idea?

Try holding down the Alt button, while left-clicking on the tab. This will cycle through all available lock modes.

I also see this type of format sometimes. Maybe it's some undocumented internal format?

Re: Image Viewer Request

It makes sense, yes. Whenever i'm using Kundal's Tagger module to add some tags, i often use the full size mode, which most of the time requires re-positioning the image. The upper left corner is usually showing the sky, or some other empty space, so find it an useful idea to start the full size mod...

Re: Loosing Focus After Rename Operation (Key-Shortcut)

Not sure, if it helps in that case, but there is a new setting "rename_default_focus" in -> preferences -> miscellaneous -> advanced, which you could try to toggle.

Re: Required reboot is it really required?

It's the most reliable way to get everything working, even if you didn't choose the Explorer replacement. Some reasons were discussed here: http://resource.dopus.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=22086&p=119233 http://resource.dopus.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=14478&p=75481

Re: Suggestion: FTP copy file names and path

Ah, there it is, thanks! Still for consistency it would not hurt to have it on the right click menu too just like when browsing other files. You can have that already. In -> settings -> file types -> "edit" -> context menu [tab] , you can add an item Clipboard COPYNAMES (or one of the oth...

If your talking about the extended properties description field, i can't confirm this. With which camera are the images taken with? Do you use the meta data panel, or the one in the image viewer?

Re: Auto-hiding specific file types, making "invisible"

By the way, you can also do this on a per-folder base, using the folder options (in settings -> tools -> hide filter [tab]).

Re: Auto-hiding specific file types, making "invisible"

Yes, you can easily do that. Just open -> preferences -> folders -> global filters -> activate global wildcard filter. You can an *.bak there, or, if there are more file types to hide, something like (*.bak|thumbs.db|folder.jpg|pspbrwse.jbf).

Re: How to install fonts

Here is an example, how to add a new command button, using the Copy INSTALLFONT command, which should do, what you want. You don't even need to specify the destination, the code will take care of that.
