Re: Rename Tool - cursor glitch in macro mode

Thanks for taking the trip into the better(?) past! o)
I feel quite comfortable here, no fuzzy fonts, clear window borders and no pixels wasted for questionable effects and useless margins. o)

Re: Rename Tool - cursor glitch in macro mode

Well, I'm on v12.3.2, not exactly current, but it still happens.
I use "Lucida Console/8" in the macro editor. Font aliasing/smoothing, Clear-Type and window themes disabled.

Re: Running several scripts

@Sasa Try adding the NOFAIL switch to each SelectEx execution. It might help. If it does, it could be there is the wrong code returned by SelectEx and the combination of switches you're using. A sequence of DO commands will be aborted once any of the command returns "failure". NOFAIL will ...

In case comparing tab contents by name/md5/size is an option for you..

Re: Free space on destination not checked prior to copy/move operation

If it's not reliable what's the point? You may look at it from another perspective: What's the point of starting a copy operation if the data does not fit the destination? Also consider the hassle with undoing what went wrong and having to start over again with another destination, time is lost on ...

Re: Free space on destination not checked prior to copy/move operation

I more agree with Zefiris. Some kind of indicator that the items to be copied might not fit the destination would be nice. There is no such thing up front and once your destination runs full, no proper way to skip or to abort and continue with another destination. It must not be acurate to the last ...

Re: Group files by Kind?

I'm late to the party, but still like to mention the CustomGrouping column set I maintain for some time. It already has/had the FileTypeGroup column: http://resource.dopus.com/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=22853 I added the "Kind" column to that set as well. Hope you don't mind me stealing your...

Re: Script command only running on first of all selected files

Script commands are not called for every selected file, you need to loop over the selected files yourself within the script. Lookup the funcData.func.sourcetab.selected collection and the example given in this forum on how to do this. Alternatively you can create a usercommand "ForEach", w...

Re: DO unresponsive while HD waking up from sleep, forces user to click abort before proceeding

Did you try with Explorer while DO was unresponsive?
The only way to tell it's not the whole network/windows system waiting for response from an endpoint that died.

Re: Command: SelectEx (extended Select command)

Yes, this is because of the unfortunate magic built into some of the native commands and the regular button engine. If your button does not seem to make use of Select and there are no items currently selected, the Delete command will refuse to do it's job. It's the same for some other native command...
